The draft resolution requests the Scientific Committee to continue its reflection on the issue of a revised membership and to provide a report before the end of the sixty-third session of the General Assembly.
ويطلب مشروع القرار من اللجنة العلمية أن تواصل تفكيرها في مسألة تنقيح العضوية وأن تقدم تقريراً قبل نهاية الدورة الثالثة والستين للجمعية العامة.

5. Also requests the Scientific Committee to continue at its next session the review of the important problems in the field of radiation and to report thereon to the General Assembly at its forty-ninth session;
٥ - تطلب أيضا إلى اللجنة العلمية أن تواصل في دورتها المقبلة استعراض المشاكل المهمة في ميدان اﻹشعاع، وأن تقدم تقريرا بهذا الشأن إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين؛

The draft resolution requested the Scientific Committee to continue to review important issues in the field of ionizing radiation, requested the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to continue providing effective support for the Committee and to ensure the strengthening of its current funding and addressed the question of the membership of the Committee.
وقالت إن مشروع القرار يطلب إلى اللجنة العلمية أن تواصل استعراضها للمسائل الهامة في مجال الإشعاع المؤين، وتطلب إلى برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة مواصلة تقديم الدعم الفعال للجنة وضمان تعزيز تمويلها الحالي والتصدي لمسألة عضوية اللجنة.
