Article 30 Paragraph 1, moreover, gives the National Human Rights Commission of Korea the authority to investigate claims of discriminatory actions taken by businesses, social institutions, and individuals.

41. The Committee reminds the State party of its responsibility to ensure that the National Human Rights Commission of Korea remains compliant with the Paris Principles, in particular with respect to its independence.

Any individuals who claim that they have been discriminated against on the basis of disability in violation of the ARPDA in various areas including employment, education, the provision of goods and services, and judicial and administrative procedures and services can file a petition with the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRC) or file a lawsuit in court to seek a remedy for violations of equal rights.
21- يمكن لأي أفراد يزعمون أنهم تعرضوا للتمييز على أساس الإعاقة في انتهاك لقانون مكافحة التمييز ضد الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وإتاحة سبل الانتصاف لهم في مختلف المجالات، بما في ذلك العمل، والتعليم، وتوفير السلع والخدمات، والإجراءات القضائية والإدارية والخدمات، أن يقدموا التماساً لدى اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان في كوريا أو يرفعوا دعوى إلى المحكمة من أجل إنصافهم من انتهاكات حقوق المساواة.

On 23 July 2008, the National Human Rights Commission of Korea called on the Government of the Republic of Korea to enact a special law for the investigation into cases of abduction and compensation and relief for the families of persons abducted and taken to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
ففي 23 تموز/يوليه 2008، دعت اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان في كوريا حكومة جمهورية كوريا إلى أن تسن قانوناً خاصاً للتحقيق في حالات الاختطاف وتقديم تعويضات ووسائل لتخفيف المعاناة إلى أسر من اختُطِفوا وأُخِذوا إلى جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية().

The Committee recommends that the State party ensure that the Policy Coordination Committee for Persons with Disabilities carries out its role of effective development and implementation of policies related to persons with disabilities, and provide the National Human Rights Commission of Korea with sufficient human and financial resources to monitor effectively the implementation of the Convention.
62- وتوصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بالتأكد من أن لجنة تنسيق السياسات لفائدة الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة تؤدي دورها المتمثل في صياغة وتنفيذ السياسات المتعلقة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة على نحو فعال، كما توصيها بتزويد اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان في كوريا بالموارد البشرية والمالية الكافية لرصد تنفيذ الاتفاقية بشكل فعال.
