Taking note with appreciation of the presentation by the Chairman and other members of the Bureau of the Committee, and of the report of the Committee on its second session, including its analysis of the role of information technology and development and its suggestions regarding an international development strategy for the first decade of the new millennium,

(a) Recommends to the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat that the above-mentioned inter-sessional issue paper be made available in the preparations for the event on the ten-year review of the implementation of the outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development with the amendments referred to in chapter III, paragraph 41, of the report of the Committee on its second session;
(أ) توصي إدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة بأن تتيح الورقة المشار إليها أعلاه في الأعمال التحضيرية الجارية لاستعراض السنوات العشر لتنفيذ نتائج مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة المعني بالبيئة والتنمية، مشفوعة بالتعديلات المشار إليها في تقرير اللجنة عن أعمال دورتها الثانية (الفصل الثالث، الفقرة 41)()؛
