92. In paragraph 5 of its resolution 53/77 E, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to initiate a study as soon as possible on the feasibility of restricting the manufacture and trade of small arms and light weapons to the manufacturers and dealers authorized by States.
٩٢ - طلبت الجمعية العامة في الفقرة ٥ من قرارها ٥٣/٧٧ هاء إلى اﻷمين العام أن يشرع في أقرب وقت ممكن في إجراء دراسة عن اﻹمكانية العملية كقصر صنع اﻷسلحة الصغيرة واﻷسلحة الخفيفة والاتجار بها على المصانع والتجار المأذون لهم من الدول.

23. The consultative meeting of experts concluded that a study for restricting the manufacture and trade of small arms to manufacturers and dealers authorized by States is both feasible and desirable, and could help Member States and the international community to promote national and international efforts in addressing the proliferation of small arms and light weapons.
خامسا - النتائج ٢٣ - خلص الاجتماع الاستشاري للخبراء إلى نتيجة مفادها أن إجراء دراسة لقصر صنع اﻷسلحة الصغيرة والاتجار بها على المصانع والتجار المأذون لهم من الدول أمر ممكن عمليا ومستصوب، ويمكن أن يساعد الدول اﻷعضاء والمجتمع الدولي على تعزيز الجهود الوطنية والدولية الرامية إلى التصدي لانتشار اﻷسلحة الصغيرة واﻷسلحة الخفيفة.
