6. Decides to convene in 1994 the World Conference on Natural Disaster Reduction in 1994 with the following objectives:

At its forty-eighth session, the General Assembly decided to convene the World Conference on Natural Disaster Reduction in 1994.

Welcoming the results of the World Conference on Natural Disaster Reduction, held at Yokohama, Japan, from 23 to 27 May 1994,

The secretariat of the World Conference on Natural Disaster Reduction has the honour to inform Conference participants that, in accordance with rules 60 to 67 of the rules of procedure of the Conference, the following documents have been circulated, for information purposes:
