The following decisions of the Board, reproduced in annex I, are related to the work of the General Conference at its eighth session:

the General Conference at its eighth session will have to establish a scale of assessments for the years 2000 and 2001.
سوف يتعين على المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة أن يقر جدول أنصبة لعامي ٠٠٠٢ و١٠٠٢ .

The Board requested the Director-General, in accordance with financial regulation 3.9, to submit for approval by the eighth session of the General Conference the necessary supplementary estimates for the current fiscal period for the measures relating to buildings management and VIC essential requirements.
وطلب المجلس الى المدير العام ، وفقا للبند ٣-٩ من النظام المالي ، أن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة التقديرات التكميلية اللازمة في الفترة المالية الجارية من أجل التدابير المتعلقة بادارة المباني والاحتياجات اﻷساسية لمركز فيينا الدولي .

(i) To submit for approval by the eighth session of the General Conference the necessary supplementary estimates for the current fiscal period for the measures relating to Buildings Management and VIC essential requirements while being implemented in the 1998-1999 biennium, as referred to in paragraphs 22 to 34 of document IDB.20/7;
`١` أن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة التقديرات التكميلية اللازمة في الفترة المالية الجارية من أجل التدابير المتعلقة بادارة المباني والاحتياجات اﻷساسية لمركز فيينا الدولي أثناء تنفيذها في فترة السنتين ٨٩٩١-٩٩٩١ ، حسبما أشير الى ذلك في الفقرات ٢٢-٤٣ من الوثيقة IDB.20/7 ، لكي يوافق عليها المؤتمر ؛

(ii) To present an updated report in that regard to the eighth session of the General Conference and on the additional steps that need to be taken with regard to the Asia and the Pacific region.
`٢` أن يقدم المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة تقريرا محدثا في هذا الصدد وعن الخطوات الاضافية التي يلزم اتخاذها بشأن منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادىء .

(h) To present a progress report on the implementation of the present resolution to the General Conference at its eighth session through the Industrial Development Board.
)ح( أن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة ، عن طريق مجلس التنمية الصناعية ، تقريرا مرحليا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار .

(iv) To present to the General Conference at its eighth session an updated report on measures relating to activities connected with the implementation of the new programmatic approach in the region.
`٤` أن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة تقريرا محدﱠثا عن التدابير المتخذة بشأن اﻷنشطة المتعلقة بتنفيذ النهج البرنامجي الجديد في المنطقة .

(b) Decides to set up an intersessional working group for the discussion of the substantive side of the adoption of a single-currency system of assessment based on the euro, for the fiscal period 2002-2003 and in future bienniums, to report to the General Conference at its eighth session;
)ب( يقرر انشاء فريق عامل لما بين الدورات ﻷجل مناقشة الجانب المضموني من اعتماد نظام آحادي العملة لﻷنصبة المقررة يستند الى اليورو ، للفترة المالية ٢٠٠٢-٣٠٠٢ وفي فترات السنتين المقبلة ، ولكي يقدم تقريرا عن ذلك الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة ؛

20. The General Conference, at its eighth session, will be invited to elect two members and two alternate members as its representatives for the following two-year term in office ending December 2001.
٠٢ - وسيدعى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة الى انتخاب عضوين وعضوين مناوبين يمثلونه للولاية التالية البالغة مدتها سنتين والمنتهية في كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٠٠٢ .

“(b) Recommends to the General Conference at its eighth session the adoption of a single-currency system of assessment based on the euro, for the fiscal period 2002-2003 and in future bienniums;
" )ب( يوصي المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة باعتماد نظام أحادي العملة لتقرير الاشتراكات يقوم على اليورو ، للسنة المالية ٢٠٠٢ - ٣٠٠٢ وفترات السنتين اللاحقة ؛

“(d) To report to the General Conference at its eighth session through the Industrial Development Board on the implementation of the present resolution.”
)د( أن يقدم إلى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة ، عن طريق مجلس التنمية الصناعية ، تقريرا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار " .

Mr. FRANCK (Luxembourg) said that his delegation proposed the addition of a second operative paragraph, identical to one adopted in respect of the agenda item entitled “Financial situation of UNIDO” and reading: “Also requests the Director-General to start implementing the recommendations as adopted by the Board and to report to the General Conference at its eighth session on the relevant recommendations for adoption.”
٦١ - السيد فرانك )لكسمبرغ( : قال إن وفده يقترح إضافة فقرة جديدة ثانية إلى المنطوق ، مطابقة للفقرة التي اعتمدت بشأن بند جدول اﻷعمال المعنون " وضع اليونيدو المالي " ، ونصها " يطلب أيضا إلى المدير العام أن يشرع في تنفيذ التوصيات التي اعتمدها المجلس ، وأن يقدم إلى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة تقريرا

(f) Requested the Director-General to start implementing the measures as adopted by the Board and to report to the General Conference at its eighth session on the relevant recommendations for adoption.
)و( طلب الى المدير العام أن يشرع في تنفيذ التدابير التي اعتمدها المجلس ، وأن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة تقريرا عن التوصيات المناسبة لاعتمادها .

(d) To report to the General Conference at its eighth session through the Industrial Development Board on the implementation of the present resolution.
)د( أن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة ، عن طريق مجلس التنمية الصناعية ، تقريرا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار .

2. Also requests the Director-General to start implementing the recommendations as adopted by the Board and to report to the General Conference at its eighth session on the relevant recommendations for adoption.
٢ - يطلب أيضا الى اﻷمين العام أن يبدأ في تنفيذ هذه التوصيات حالما يعتمده المجلس ، وأن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة تقريرا عن التوصيات ذات الصلة بغية اعتمادها .

2. Further requests the Director-General to report on the implementation of the present resolution to the General Conference at its eighth session through the Industrial Development Board.
٢ - يطلب كذلك الى المدير العام أن يقدم الى المؤتمر العام في دورته الثامنة ، عن طريق مجلس التنمية الصناعية ، تقريرا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار .
