The Advisory Committee recalls the General Assembly's previous decision of the General Assembly that the salariesy of the judges should consist of a net base salary and a post adjustment amount per index point equal to one 1 per cent of the net base salary to which would be applied a post adjustment multiplier (A/Res/resolution 61/262, para. 6).

In paragraph 7 of that resolution, the Assembly decided that, with effect from 1 January 2007, the annual salary of the members of the Court would comprise an annual net base salary fixed at $133,500 per annum and post adjustment multiplier per index point equal to 1 per cent of the net base salary, to which the post adjustment multiplier for the Netherlands would be applied.

The Court has learned that the requirement under paragraph 7 of resolution 61/262 -- that the newly elected judges will have an annual net base salary of $133,500, with a corresponding post adjustment per index point equal to 1 per cent of the net base salary -- does not at present have any practical application for the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
