7. The Code of Conduct will constitute article I of the Staff Regulations and chapter I of the 100 series of the Staff Rules.

22. New rules 301.2, 301.3 and 301.4 will implement for staff appointed under the 300 series the provisions of article I of the Staff Regulations, as amended by General Assembly resolution 52/252 of 8 September 1998.
٢٢ - تتعلق القواعد ٣٠١/٢ و ٣٠١/٣ و ٣٠١/٤ الجديدة بتنفيذ أحكام المادة اﻷولى من النظام اﻷساسي للموظفين، بصيغتها المعدلة بقرار الجمعية العامة ٥٢/٢٥٢ المؤرخ ٨ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٨، على الموظفين المعينين في إطار المجموعة ٣٠٠.

Thus rule 301.3 deals with a subject covered by article I of the Regulations; rule 306.2 deals with a subject covered by article VI of the Regulations; and rule 312.1 deals with a subject covered by article XII of the Regulations.

article I of the statute of the Institute states that INSTRAW was established in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations to serve as a vehicle at the international level for the purpose of undertaking research and establishing training programmes to contribute to the integration and mobilization of women in development, to raise awareness of women’s issues worldwide, and to assist women in meeting new challenges and directions.
وورد في المادة اﻷولى من النظام اﻷساسي للمعهد أن المعهد الدولي للبحث والتدريب من أجل النهوض بالمرأة أنشئ وفقا لميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة ليكون بمثابة أداة على الصعيد الدولي لغرض إجراء البحوث ووضع برامج تدريب لﻹسهام في إدماج وتعبئة المرأة في عملية التنمية، ورفع مستوى الوعي بقضايا المرأة في كافة أنحاء العالم ومساعدة المرأة على مجابهة التحديات والاتجاهات الجديدة.

24. Ms. Laux (Officer-in-charge of the Office of Human Resources Management) said, in reply to the representative of Pakistan, that the name of the proposed Code of Conduct could be changed either to “article I of the Staff Regulations and chapter I of the Staff Rules” or to “Duties, Rights and Obligations of Staff Members”.

So that staff may have conveniently at hand a guide to their rights and duties, the extracts from the Charter and the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, the text of article I of the Staff Regulations and the text of chapter I of the Staff Rules, which together constitute the Code of Conduct, will be issued to staff as an official publication, in booklet form, together with the explanatory Commentary.
٧ - لكي يكون في متناول أيدي الموظفين بشكل ملائم دليل لحقوقهم وواجباتهم ستصدر للموظفين المقتطفات من الميثاق ومن اتفاقية امتيازات اﻷمم المتحدة وحصاناتها، ونص المادة اﻷولى من النظام اﻷساسي للموظفين، ونص الفصل اﻷول من النظام اﻹداري للموظفين، التي تشكل مجتمعة مدونة قواعد السلوك كمنشور رسمي في شكل كتيﱢب مع الشروح اﻹيضاحية.

11. A copy of the proposed Code of Conduct, including extracts from the Charter of the United Nations and the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, the text of article I of the Staff Regulations and the text of chapter I of the Staff Rules, together with the explanatory commentary and the 1954 ICSAB Report would be issued to staff in booklet form.
١١ - وستصدر نسخة من المدونة المقترحة لقواعد السلوك، بما في ذلك مقتطفات من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة واتفاقية امتيازات اﻷمم المتحدة وحصاناتها، ونص المادة اﻷولى من النظام اﻷساسي للموظفين، ونص الفصل اﻷول من النظام اﻹداري للموظفين، إلى جانب التعليقات التوضيحية وتقرير المجلس الاستشاري للخدمة المدنية الدولية لعام ١٩٥٤ في شكل كتيب للموظفين.
