Reference was made to the current efforts to draft Basic principles and guidelines on the right to a remedy and reparation for victims of violations of international human rights and international humanitarian law.

Decides to adopt the Basic principles and guidelines on the Right to a Remedy and Reparation for Victims of [Gross] Violations of International Human Rights and [Serious] Violations of Humanitarian Law as follows:

It will be recalled that it was in the Sub-Commission that the Basic principles and guidelines on the right to a remedy and reparation for victims of violations of international human rights and humanitarian law were first discussed.

43. The scope of this principle has been generalized in the draft Basic principles and guidelines on the Right to a Remedy and Reparation for Victims of Violations of International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law which, in its principle 25 (i) refers to:

69. The Chairperson-Rapporteur of the consultative meeting on the draft Basic principles and guidelines on the right to a remedy and reparation for victims of violations of international human rights and humanitarian law recommends that the Commission on Human Rights:
69- يوصي رئيس - مقرر الاجتماع الاستشاري المعني بمشروع المبادئ الأساسية والخطوط التوجيهية بشأن الحق في الانتصـاف والجـبر لضحايا انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان الدولية والقانون الإنساني الدولي، لجنة حقوق الإنسـان بما يلي:

Encourages the ChairpersonRapporteur of the first consultative meeting to conduct informal consultations with all interested parties, to further contribute to the process of the " Basic principles and guidelines on the right to a remedy and reparation for victims of violations of international human rights and humanitarian law " ;
6- تشجع رئيس - مقرر الاجتماع الاستشاري الأول على إجراء مشاورات غير رسمية مع جميع الأطراف المهتمة، لمواصلة الإسهام في عملية إعداد " المبادئ الأساسية والخطوط التوجيهية بشأن حق ضحايا انتهاكات المعايير الدولية لحقوق الإنسان والقانون الإنساني الدولي في الانتصاف والجبر " ؛

States parties are encouraged to describe efforts made to promote and implement the Basic principles and guidelines on the Right to a Remedy and Reparation for Victims of Gross Violations of International Human Rights Law and Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law adopted by the General Assembly in 2006 in its resolution 60/147.

Recalling also General Assembly resolution 60/147 of 16 December 2005, in which the Assembly adopted the Basic principles and guidelines on the Right to a Remedy and Reparation for Victims of Gross Violations of International Human Rights Law and Serious Violations of International Humanitarian Law,

At its fifty-sixth session, the Commission had before it the report of the independent expert (E/CN.4/2000/62) and the draft of the " Basic principles and guidelines on the right to a remedy and reparation for victims of violations of international human rights and humanitarian law " , annexed to his report.

Bassiouni's revision, the " Basic principles and guidelines on the right to a remedy and reparation for victims of violations of international human rights and humanitarian law " (Basic Principles), was adopted by the Commission on Human Rights on 20 April 2000.
أما النسخة التي أعدها بسيوني " المبادئ الأساسية والخطوط التوجيهية بشأن الحق في الانتصاف وجبر الأضرار بالنسبة لضحايا انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان الدولية والقانون الإنساني الدولي " (المبادئ الأساسية)() فقد اعتمدتها لجنة حقوق الإنسان في 20 نيسان/أبريل 2000().

The Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities has been seized of a number of draft proposals, including proposals for Basic principles and guidelines on the rights of victims, principles relating to the human rights conduct of transnational corporations and principles on human rights and the environment.
وينبغي الإشارة بالطبع إلى أن لجنة حقوق الإنسان واللجنة الفرعية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان تنظران في مشاريع شتى منها مشروع المبادئ الأساسية والخطوط التوجيهية بشأن حقوق الضحايا(36) ومشروع المبادئ المتعلقة بسلوك الشركات عبر الوطنية(37) ومشروع إعلان المبادئ المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان والبيئة(38).
