The internationally agreed development goals of the United Nations were at the centre of the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action adopted during the Geneva phase of the World Summit on the Information Society.

Having looked and analysed the World Summit on the Information Society Geneva Phase Declaration of Principles and Plan of Action, the Government of Zimbabwe wishes to register that:
إن حكومة زيمبابوي، وقد نظرت في إعلان المبادئ وخطة العمل الصادرين عن القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات في مرحلتها بجنيف، وقامت بتحليل هاتين الوثيقتين، تود أن تسجّل ما يلي:

6. Welcomes the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action adopted at the first phase of the World Summit on the Information Society with the aim of better promoting the goals of the United Nations Millennium Declaration;
6- ترحب بإعلان المبادئ وخطة العمل اللذين اعتمدا في المرحلة الأولى من مؤتمر القمة العالمي لمجتمع المعلومات بهدف تحسين الترويج لأهداف إعلان الأمم المتحدة بشأن الألفية؛

26 The Secretary of the Plenary of the Summit, in response to a question raised by the representative of the United States, clarified that interpretative statements on the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action submitted in writing would be included as part of the final report of the Geneva phase of the Summit.

Recalling further the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action adopted by the World Summit on the Information Society at its first phase, held in Geneva from 10 to 12 December 2003,

Notes with satisfaction the adoption of the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action at the first phase of the World Summit on the Information Society, held in Geneva from 10 to 12 December 2003, and welcomes the holding of the second phase of the Summit from 16 to 18 November 2005 in Tunis;
31 - تلاحظ مع الارتياح اعتماد إعلان المبادئ وخطة العمل() خلال المرحلة الأولى من مؤتمر القمة العالمي المعني بمجتمع المعلومات، المعقودة في جنيف في الفترة من 10 إلى 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، وترحب بعقد المرحلة الثانية لمؤتمر القمة في تونس العاصمة في الفترة من 16 إلى 18 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2005؛

" 4. Endorses the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action adopted by the Summit on 12 December 2003, and welcomes, in this regard, the strong development orientation of both documents, and stresses the importance of the effective and timely implementation of the Plan of Action;

كما سيساهم في تنفيذ برنامج العمل الخاص بأقل البلدان نموا للعقد 2001-2010، وتوافق آراء مونتيري، وإعلان جوهانسبرغ المتعلق بالتنمية المستدامة، وإعلان المبادئ وخطة عمل مؤتمر القمة العالمي المعني بمجتمع المعلومات المعقود في تونس.

7. The United States notes the several references in both the Declaration of Principles and Plan of Action on the importance of good governance to the Information Society.
7 - تلاحظ الولايات المتحدة الإشارات العديدة في إعلان المبادئ وخطة العمل إلى أهمية " الحكم الرشيد " في مجتمع المعلومات.

The outcome of this Conference, the Beirut Declaration: Towards an Information Society in Western Asia, was one of the five regional declarations that constituted the basis for the Summit's Declaration of Principles and Plan of Action.
وكانت نتيجة هذا المؤتمر، إعلان بيروت: نحو مجتمع للمعلومات في غرب آسيا، وهو أحد الإعلانات الإقليمية الخمسة التي شكّلت إعلان المبادئ وخطة العمل لمؤتمر القمة.

The adoption of the Declaration of Principles and Plan of Action on Tourism, Trade and Transportation provides a practical blueprint to foster development and enhance economic integration among all countries of the Caribbean.
