3- إن التدابير التي تتخذها الدول لضمان التمتع الفعلي بالحقوق المبينة في هذا الإعلان لا يجوز اعتبارها، من حيث الافتراض المبدئي، مخالفة لمبدأ المساواة الوارد في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان.

11- تذكّر المادة 9 من الإعلان المتعلق بحقوق الأشخاص المنتمين إلى أقليات قومية أو إثنية وإلى أقليات دينية ولغوية، بأن على الوكالات المتخصصة وسائر مؤسسات منظومة الأمم المتحدة أن تساهم، كل في مجال اختصاصه، في الإعمال الكامل للحقوق والمبادئ المبينة في هذا الإعلان.

The 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (General Assembly resolution 217 A (111)) states that " all are equal before the law " and that everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in the Declaration, " without distinction of any kind " , including sex.
