In addition, the Assembly welcomed the actions being taken at the regional level by the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) to organize the activities of the United Nations system around thematic clusters covering the priority areas of NEPAD and, in this regard, urged the strengthening of this process as a means of enhancing the effective response of the United Nations system in support of the New Partnership.
