In 2008, OHCHR responded by developing a detailed commentary to the Recommended Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights and Human Trafficking.

34. Continue efforts to provide appropriate assistance to victims of human trafficking and utilize the OHCHR recommended Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights and Human Trafficking as a reference (Philippines);
34- مواصلة الجهود الرامية إلى تقديم المساعدة الملائمة لضحايا الاتجار بالبشر، والاسترشاد بالمبادئ والمبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان والاتجار بالبشر التي توصي بها المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان (الفلبين)؛

The Committee urges the State party to study the Recommended Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights and Human Trafficking (E/2002/68/Add.1) and to duly implement them while combating trafficking in human beings.
وتحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف على أن تسترشد بالمبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان والاتجار بالبشر التي أوصت بها مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان في عام 2002 (E/2002/68/Add.1) وأن تحرص على تنفيذ تلك المبادئ التوجيهية على النحو الواجب في إطار ما تضطلع به من أنشطة لمكافحة الاتجار بالبشر.

The Committee recommends that the State party consider using the Principles and Guidelines on Human Rights and Human Trafficking (2002) recommended by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as a basis for their implementation.
