3. The report on the judicial status of the Tribunal and the prospects for referring certain cases to national courts (S/2002/678) was endorsed on 23 July 2002 by a statement of the President of the Security Council on behalf of the Council (S/PRST/2002/21).

The Draft Law on the Legal Status of Foreigners reads that a foreigner shall not be deported from the Republic of Lithuania to the country where he/she will be exposed to torture, cruel and inhuman treatment or humiliation of his/her dignity, or will be punished in this manner i.e. where the non-repatriation principle is applicable to him/her.

15. In the Russian Federation, guarantees to protect the rights of women migrant workers were contained in article 21 of the constitution and in a federal law of 2002 on the Legal Status of aliens.

75. Under the Law on the Legal Status of Aliens, asylum seekers are not subject to liability for illegal entrance to and stay in Lithuania and they are not detained on those grounds.
