The Committee is further concerned that Cuban civil society is not fully independent and has not been sufficiently involved or consulted in policy formulation and programme development on children, nor in the reporting process to the CRC.

In this context, it is worth mentioning that the changes taking place in Cuban society, principally in the economic sector, are creating a more conducive framework enabling the incipient movement of non-governmental organizations to reform Cuban civil society and to call for democratic rules in relations between society and the political authorities.
١٣ - ويجدر باﻹشارة، في هذا السياق، أن ما يجري من تغييرات في المجتمع الكوبي، وبصفة رئيسية في الميدان الاقتصادي، تعمل على إيجاد جو أنسب من أجل قيام الحركة الناشئة للمنظمات غير الحكومية بإعادة توجيه المجتمع المدني الكوبي وإرساء قواعد ديمقراطية في العلاقات بين هذا المجتمع والسلطة السياسية.

The fourth forum of Cuban civil society organizations for the liberation of our counter-terrorist fighters expects and respectfully requests the President of the United States, Barack Obama, to agree to our call, which is the outcry of the men and women of the valiant Cuban people.
ويتوقع المنتدى الرابع لمنظمات المجتمع المدني الكوبي للمطالبة بالإفراج عن مناضلينا المكافحين للإرهاب، من رئيس الولايات المتحدة، باراك أوباما، ويطلب منه باحترام، أن يوافق على تحقيق طلبنا الذي هو صرخة احتجاج من رجال ونساء الشعب الكوبي الباسل.

The tenth Forum against the Embargo, consisting of Cuban civil society organizations and regional and international organizations based in Cuba, reiterates its denunciation and condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the Government of the United States of America against Cuba for more than 50 years.
إن المنتدى العاشر المعني بمناهضة الحصار، الذي يتألف من منظمات المجتمع المدني الكوبي والمنظمات الإقليمية والدولية الكائنة مقارها في كوبا، يعرب من جديد عن استنكاره وإدانته للحصار الاقتصادي والتجاري والمالي الذي تفرضه حكومة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية على كوبا منذ أكثر من خمسين عاماً.

The Fourth Forum of Cuban civil society organizations for the release of our antiterrorist fighters expresses its hope, in a respectful request to the President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama, that he will give positive consideration to this plea, which is the outcry of men and women of the valiant Cuban people.
ويعرب المحفل الرابع لمنظمات المجتمع المدني الكوبي من أجل الإفراج عن مناضلينا ضد الإرهاب عن أمله، ويطلب باحترام إلى رئيس الولايات المتحدة، السيد باراك أوباما، أن ينظر بعين الرضا إلى ندائنا هذا، صيحة رجال الشعب الكوبي المناضل ونسائه.

Cuban civil society, United Nations organizations and the reports of the SecretaryGeneral have demonstrated the physical, spiritual, economic and social damage caused to the Cuban people by the application of this policy of genocide, which in economic terms can conservatively be estimated at US$ 72,000 million.
5- وقد كشف المجتمع المدني الكوبي والمنظمات التابعة للأمم المتحدة وتقارير الأمين العام عما سببه تطبيق سياسة الإبادة الجماعية هذه من أضرار مادية ومعنوية واقتصادية واجتماعية، يمكن أن تقدر دون مبالغة من الناحية الاقتصادية بمبلغ 000 72 مليون دولار من دولارات الولايات المتحدة.

5. On 3 January 2000, a number of social, community and student organizations from Cuban civil society lodged a claim with the People's Provincial Court of the City of Havana against the Government of the United States for economic damage caused to Cuba, claiming $121 billion in reparation and compensation for the Cuban people.
