The process resulted in a preliminary report on the situation of human rights in Darfur (A/HRC/5/6) which was submitted to the Council at its fifth session.

In this context, the Special Rapporteur would like to welcome the decision of the Council, at its fifth session in June 2007 to extend the mandate on the situation of human rights in Myanmar.

Requests the President of the Human Rights Council and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to report to the Council at its fifth session on their efforts for the implementation of Council resolutions S1/1 and S3/1 and on the compliance of Israel, the occupying Power, with these two resolutions.
2- يطلب إلى رئيس مجلس حقوق الإنسان ومفوضة الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان تقديم تقرير إلى المجلس في دورته الخامسة عن جهودهما الرامية إلى تنفيذ قراري المجلس دإ-1/1 ودإ-3/1 وعن امتثال إسرائيل، وهي السلطة القائمة بالاحتلال، لهذين القرارين.

The Council, moreover, requested this group to work with the Government of the Sudan, the appropriate human rights mechanisms of the African Union and to closely consult with the Chairman of the Darfur-Darfur Dialogue and Consultation to ensure effective follow-up and to foster the implementation of resolutions and recommendations on Darfur and to report to the Council at its fifth session.
كما طلب المجلس إلى ذلك الفريق أَن يعمل مع حكومة السودان ومع آليات حقوق الإنسان المناسبة في الاتحاد الأفريقي وأن يتشاور على نحو وثيق مع رئيس لجنة الإبلاغ عن عملية الحوار والتشاور بين الأطراف في دارفور، لضمان المتابعة الفعالة والتشجيع على تنفيذ القرارات والتوصيات المتعلقة بدارفور، وأن يقدم تقريراً إلى المجلس في دورته الخامسة.

In resolution 4/2 adopted at its fourth session, the Council requested " the President of the Council and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to report to the Council at its fifth session on their efforts for the implementation of Council resolutions S-1/1 and S-3/1 and on compliance of Israel, the occupying Power, with these two resolutions " .
وفي القرار 4/2 الذي اعتمده المجلس في دورته الرابعة، طلب المجلس إلى " رئيس المجلس ومفوضة الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان تقديم تقرير إلى المجلس في دورته الخامسة عن جهودهما الرامية إلى تنفيذ قراري المجلس دإ-1/1 ودإ-3/1 وعن امتثال إسرائيل، وهي السلطة القائمة بالاحتلال، لهذين القرارين " .

The group of experts on the situation of human rights on Darfur, established by the Human Rights Council in its resolution HRC/4/8 and consisting of six special procedures mandate holders, undertook two consultations and submitted a report to the Council at its fifth session (A/HRC/5/6) prioritizing recommendations for action by the Government of the Sudan to address the situation in Darfur.
وقام فريق الخبراء المستقل المعني بحالة حقوق الإنسان في دارفور، الذي أنشئ بموجب قرار مجلس حقوق الإنسان A/HRC/4/8 والمؤلف من ستة من المكلفين بولايات لإجراءات خاصة، بجولتين من المشاورات، وقدم تقريرا إلى المجلس في دورته الخامسة (A/HRC/5/6) يحدد فيه أولويات التوصيات للإجراءات التي يجب أن تقوم بها حكومة السودان لمعالجة الحالة في دارفور.
