9. States Parties are resolved to ensure the expeditious and timely destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines in accordance with Article 4, limit to the absolute minimum necessary the number of anti-personnel mines retained under Article 3, prevent further cases of non-compliance, and report as required by Article 7 and in line with the recommendations made by the Ninth Meeting of the States Parties.
9- عقدت الدول الأطراف العزم على ضمان التدمير العاجل وفي الوقت المناسب لجميع مخزونات الألغام المضادة للأفراد وفقاً للمادة 4، وخفض عدد الألغام المضادة للأفراد المحتفظ بها بموجب المادة 3 إلى المستوى الأدنى الضروري بصورة مطلقة، ومنع حدوث المزيد من حالات عدم الامتثال، والإبلاغ على النحو الذي تقتضيه المادة 7 ووفقاً للتوصيات الصادرة عن الاجتماع التاسع للدول الأطراف.

131. With respect to mines retained under Article 3, the First Review Conference noted that some States Parties on a voluntary basis have provided information on the intended purpose and actual use of mines retained under Article 3.
131- وفيما يتعلق بالألغام التي تم الاحتفاظ بها بموجب المادة 3، لاحظ المؤتمر الاستعراضي الأول أن بعض الدول الأطـراف قدّمت بصورة طوعية معلومات حول الغرض والاستعمال الفعلي للألغام المحتفظ بها بموجب المادة 3([86]).

Since the Cartagena Summit, Cyprus, on 29 April 2010, wrote to the President of the Second Review Conference to inform her that " in demonstrating its commitment to the implementation of the Cartagena Action Plan " , Cyprus has reviewed the number of mines retained under Article 3 of the Convention and, as a result, has taken the decision to proceed with the destruction of 494 of the mines retained.
