Requests the ICTY to take all possible measures to complete its work as expeditiously as possible with the aim to facilitate the closure of the Tribunal, taking into account resolution 1966 (2010) which requested the International Tribunal to complete its trial and appeals proceedings by 31 December 2014, and expresses concern that, in order to complete the work of the ICTY, trials and appeals will go beyond 2014;

Taking into account the prior experience of the International Tribunal in filling posts (see, for example, A/51/7/Add.7 and Corr.1-2, para. 13), the Committee believes that it will be very difficult for the International Tribunal to fill all new posts in 1998 and that, consequently, the stated assumptions for occupancy of new posts in 1998 should be adjusted.

By resolution 1126 (1997), the Security Council endorsed the recommendation of the Secretary-General that Judges Karibi-Whyte, Odio Benito and Jan, once replaced as members of the Tribunal, would finish the Celebici case which they had begun before expiry of their terms of office, and took note of the intention of the International Tribunal to finish the case before November 1998. In the same resolution, the Council requested the Tribunal to take all possible measures to complete its work by end of 2014.
كما طلب المجلس في القرار نفسه إلى المحكمة الدولية أن تتخذ جميع التدابير الممكنة من أجل إتمام عملها بحلول نهاية عام 2014.
