Arab civil society should also support the efforts of the global boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign against institutions that supported or dealt with the Israeli occupation system.

وفي لقاء تشاوري لمنظمات المجتمع المدني نُظِّم في تموز/يوليه 2003 لتنسيق وتعزيز الجهود الرامية إلى متابعة الدورة الاستثنائية، اتفقت على عقد المنتدى الثاني للمجتمع المدني العربي المعني بالطفل في الأردن في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003.

149. In view of the absence or exclusion of Arab civil society organizations from the Southern Sudan, the League of Arab States has encouraged Arab non-governmental organizations to provide technical, humanitarian and development assistance to the Southern Sudan and help protect persons displaced and affected by war.
149 - ونظراً لغياب أو تغييب منظمات المجتمع المدني العربي عن ساحة جنوب السودان، فقد شجعت الجامعة العربية المنظمات العربية غير الحكومية على تقديم عونها الفني ومساعداتها الإنسانية والتنموية إلى جنوب السودان والمساهمة في رعاية النازحين والمتضررين من جراء الحرب.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, Marta Santos Pais, participated in the third Arab civil society forum for childhood, organized by the Arab Council for Childhood and Development and held in Cairo in February 2010, where she met with children in an open dialogue.
شاركت الممثلة الخاصة للأمين العام المعنية بالعنف ضد الأطفال، مارتا سانتوس بايس، في منتدى المجتمع المدني العربي الثالث المعني بالطفل، الذي نظمه المجلس العربي للطفولة والتنمية، والمعقود في القاهرة في شباط/فبراير 2010، حيث التقت بالأطفال وأجرت معهم حوارا مفتوحا.

(a) To call upon the Arab States to support and expand the areas in which Arab civil society organizations and institutions operate as partners in the development process, activate their roles and facilitate their involvement in joint Arab activities.
