2. Commends the African States for their efforts towards the establishment of an African nuclear-weapon-free zone and requests the Director General to continue to assist them in this regard;
٢ - يشيد بالجهود التي تبذلها الدول الافريقية من أجل إنشاء منطقة خالية من اﻷسلحة النووية في افريقيا، ويرجو من المدير العام أن يواصل مساعدته لهذه الدول في هذا الصدد؛

Requests the Director General to continue consultations with the States of the Middle East to facilitate the early application of full-scope Agency safeguards to all nuclear activities in the region as relevant to the preparation of model agreements, as a necessary step towards the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in the region, referred to in resolution GC(37)/RES/627;
٥ - يطلب الى المدير العام أن يواصل مشاوراته مع دول الشرق اﻷوسط لتيسير سرعة تطبيق ضمانات الوكالة الشاملة على جميع اﻷنشطة النووية في المنطقة بقدر ما يتصل ذلك بإعداد اتفاقات نموذجية، وباعتبار ذلك خطوة ضرورية نحو إنشاء منطقة خالية من اﻷسلحة النووية في الشرق اﻷوسط، كما جاء في القرار GC 937)/RES/627؛
