As stated in paragraph 23, the revised requirements for central support services would not necessitate a change in the overall staffing projections, but would require a redistribution of the proposed staffing provided in annex IV of the report of the Secretary-General of 29 March 1996 (A/50/696/Add.5).

19. In this connection, the Advisory Committee recalls that in annex IV of the report of the Secretary-General cost estimates for the period from 19 September 1994 to 31 January 1995 indicate the daily cost of rations and drinking-water at $7.00 and $1.36 respectively per person.
