2. Requests the Executive Director to undertake a process for the preparation of a new programme for the development and periodic review of environmental law, in consultation with Governments and relevant organizations, and, as part of that process, to convene in the year 2000 a meeting of senior government officials expert in environmental law;
٢ - يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي بدء عملية ﻹعداد برنامج جديد لتطوير القانون البيئي واستعراضه دوريا، وذلك بالتشاور مع الحكومات والمنظمات ذات الصلة، وكجزء من هذه العملية، عقد اجتماع لكبار المسؤولين الحكوميين الخبراء في مجال القانون البيئي في عام ٢٠٠٠؛

As part of this process, during the second half of 2000, UNEP will convene a meeting of senior government officials expert in environmental law. The draft programme is expected to be submitted for adoption at the twenty-first session of the Governing Council, to be held in February 2001.
وكجزء من هذه العملية، عقد اجتماع لكبار المسؤولين الحكوميين الخبراء في مجال القانون البيئي في عام ٢٠٠٠، ويُتوقع أن يقدم مشروع برنامج إلى الدورة الحادية والعشرين لمجلس اﻹدارة، التي ستعقد في شباط/فبراير ٢٠٠٠، بغرض اعتماده.

On the basis of that preparatory work, the Executive Director convened a meeting in Nairobi from 23 to 27 October 2000 of senior government officials expert in environmental law to prepare a programme for the development and periodic review of environmental law for the first decade of the twenty-first century.

6. The meeting of senior government officials expert in environmental law to prepare a fourth Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law (Montevideo Programme) was convened by UNEP in Nairobi from 29 September to 3 October 2008.
6 - وعقد برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة اجتماع كبار المسؤولين الحكوميين الخبراء في القانون البيئي لإعداد البرنامج الرابع للقانون البيئي (برنامج مونتفيديو) واستعراضه دورياً في نيروبي خلال الفترة 29 أيلول/سبتمبر - 3 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2008.

The Montevideo Programme III will be considered and finalized by a Meeting of Senior government officials expert in Environmental Law -- an open-ended intergovernmental meeting to be convened by UNEP in Nairobi in October 2000 -- the outcome of which will be submitted for adoption to the Governing Council at its twenty-first session.
وسوف تتم دراسة برنامج مونتيفيديو الثالث ووضع صيغته النهائية في اجتماع لكبار المسؤولين الحكوميين الخبراء في القانون البيئي - وهو اجتماع حكومي دولي مفتوح العضوية سيعقده برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة في نيروبي في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2000، وستقدم نتائجه إلى مجلس الإدارة في دورته الحادية والعشرين، لاعتمادها.

4. Endorses the observations and recommendations made by the Meeting of Senior government officials expert in Environmental Law for the Mid-term Review of the Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law for the 1990s on specific programme areas of the Montevideo Programme II11 and requests the Executive Director to use them as guidance in further implementing the Programme;
٤ - يؤيد الملاحظات والتوصيات التي تقدم بها اجتماع كبار المسؤولين الحكوميين الخبراء في القانون الدولي لاستعراض منتصف المدة لبرنامج وضع القانون البيئي للتسعينات واستعراضه دوريا بشأن مجالات برنامجية محددة في برنامج مونتفيديو ٢)١١(، ويطلب إلى المديرة التنفيذية استخدامها كتوجيهات لدى تنفيذ العمل المقبل من البرنامج؛

The present report is submitted to the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum in accordance with the recommendations of the meeting of senior government officials expert in environmental law for the preparation of a fourth Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law (Montevideo Programme IV) held in Nairobi from 29 September to 3 October 2008.

The annex to the present note contains the draft fourth Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law (Montevideo Programme IV) as contained in the annex to the report of the meeting of senior government officials expert in environmental law for the preparation of a fourth Programme, held in Nairobi from 29 September to 3 October 2008 (originally issued as document UNEP/Env.Law/MTV4/IG/2/2).
