In view of that brief interval, the Commission will have before it, at its twenty-eighth session, addenda to the report on the monitoring of multilateral population assistance and to the report of the Executive Director of UNFPA on the activities of the Fund, rather than completely new reports.

In resolution 1987/72 on the follow-up to the recommendations of the International Conference on Population, 1984, the Economic and Social Council requested the Secretary-General to prepare, on a regular basis, reports on, among other things, monitoring of multilateral population assistance.
