118. In the light of article 12 of the Convention, the Committee recommends that the State party provide educational information to, inter alia, parents, teachers, government administrative officials, the judiciary and the public in general on children's rights to participate and to have their views taken into consideration.
118- وفي ضوء المادة 12 من الاتفاقية، توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بتوفير معلومات تربوية، بشأن حق الأطفال في المشاركة وفي أن تؤخذ آراءهم في الاعتبار، للآباء والمعلمين، والمسؤولين الإداريين في الحكومة، والجهاز القضائي، والجمهور عامة، من ضمن من يجب توفير هذه المعلومات لهم.

(b) Provide information to children and their parents, teachers, government officials, the judiciary, traditional leaders and society at large on children's right to participate and to have their views taken into account;

4. Peace education-related activities in UNICEF are guided by the Millennium Development Goals and by human rights principles, such as those from the Convention on the Rights of the Child, namely the best interests of the child, non-discrimination and the right of the child to participate and be listened to.
4 - وتهتدي الأنشطة المتصلة بالتربية من أجل السلام في اليونيسيف بأهداف الألفية المتصلة بالعقد وبمبادئ حقوق الإنسان التي من أمثلتها المبادئ المستمدة من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، أي التماس المصالح العليا للطفل، وعدم التمييز، وحق الطفل في المشاركة وفي الاستماع إليه.

(b) Provide educational information to, among others, parents, teachers, government administrative officials, the judiciary, children themselves and society at large, on children's right to participate and to have their views taken into account;

It also enshrines the right of indigenous peoples to participation and consultation regarding all uses of resources on their lands, and the prohibition of their eviction from their lands and territories.
وتنص الاتفاقية أيضاً على حق الشعوب الأصلية في المشاركة وفي أن يستشاروا فيما يتعلق بجميع أشكال استعمال الموارد الموجودة في أراضيهم ومنع إجلائهم عن أراضيهم وأقاليمهم.

Despite these positive steps, the Committee is of the view that children's right to participation and free expression of their views is still limited in the State party, partly due to traditional attitudes in society.
ورغم هذه الخطوات الإيجابية، فإن اللجنة تعتبر أن حق الأطفال في المشاركة وفي التعبير عن آرائهم بحرية لا يزال محدوداً في الدولة الطرف، وذلك لأسباب منها المواقف التقليدية السائدة في المجتمع.

In particular, national legislation and regulations should be revised in order to eliminate any form of discrimination against women at the different levels of participation and in their access to resources and in order to give effect to the Government’s commitments arising from its ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
