The latter responds to an invitation by the parties to the Kyoto Protocol to review and, if necessary, update supplementary methodologies for estimating anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions by sources and removals by sinks resulting from land use, land-use change and forestry activities.

II. A training module under the team of technical experts training programme covering the technical analysis of data and information used by Parties in the estimation of anthropogenic forest-related emissions by sources and removals by sinks, forest carbon stocks, and forest carbon stock and forest area changes
ثانياً- وحدة تدريبية ضمن برنامج تدريب فريق الخبراء التقنيين تغطي التحليل التقني للبيانات والمعلومات التي تستخدمها الأطراف لتقييم الانبعاثات البشرية المنشأ من المصادر وعمليات إزالتها بواسطة البواليع في قطاع الغابات، ومخزونات الكربون في الغابات، وتغير مخزون الكربون في الغابات، وتغير المناطق الحرجية

20. Once land is accounted for under Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4, all anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions by sources [and removals by sinks] on this land must be accounted for throughout subsequent and contiguous commitment periods.

19. The accounting of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions by sources and removals by sinks resulting from land use, land-use change and forestry activities under Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4, shall begin with the onset of the activity or the beginning of the commitment period, whichever comes later.

[The submission of the most recently required national inventory] [The measurement, reporting and verification of emissions by sources and removals by sinks];

Comparable provisions for monitoring, reporting and verification of emissions by sources and removals by sinks;
(ج) الأحكام القابلة للمقارنة في مجال رصد الانبعاثات من المصادر وعمليات إزالتها بواسطة البواليع والإبلاغ عنها والتحقق منها؛

(a) The extent to which the forest reference emission level and/or forest reference level maintains consistency with corresponding anthropogenic forest-related greenhouse gas emissions by sources and removals by sinks as contained in the national greenhouse gas inventories;

In the methodologies to account for emissions by sources and removals by sinks in the land-use, land-use change and forestry sector, no consideration shall be given to the simple presence of stocks of carbon in national reservoirs, in line with the provisions of Article 5.2 of the Kyoto Protocol,
(و) في المنهجيات المتعلقة بتقديم بيانات عن الانبعاثات بحسب المصادر وعمليات إزالتها بواسطة البواليع في قطاع استخدام الأرض وتغيير استخدام الأرض والحراجة، لن يولى أي اعتبار لمجرد وجود أرصدة من الكربون في الخزانات الوطنية، تمشياً مع المادة 5-2 من بروتوكول كيوتو؛

In the methodologies to account for emissions by sources and removals by sinks in the land-use, land-use change and forestry sector, no consideration shall be given to the simple presence of stocks of carbon, in line with the provisions of Article 5.2 of the Kyoto Protocol,

(a) bis [Developed country Parties shall have in place and maintain a national system for the estimation of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks of all greenhouse gases not controlled by the Montreal Protocol by [2011];]

The following direct human-induced activities, other than afforestation, reforestation and deforestation, and their associated greenhouse gas emissions by sources and removals by sinks, shall be accounted for under Article 3.4 in the second and subsequent commitment periods: [revegetation], [forest management], [cropland management], and [grazing land management].

2. Recognizes the need to develop capacities for measuring, reporting and verifying anthropogenic forest-related emissions by sources and removals by sinks, forest carbon stocks, and forest carbon stock and forest-area changes resulting from the implementation of the activities referred to in decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 70;
2- يقر بضرورة تنمية القدرات للاضطلاع بأعمال القياس والإبلاغ والتحقق المتعلقة بالانبعاثات البشرية المنشأ من المصادر وعمليات إزالتها بواسطة البواليع في قطاع الغابات، وبمخزونات الكربون في الغابات، وتغير مخزون الكربون في الغابات، وتغير المناطق الحرجية نتيجة لتنفيذ الأنشطة المشار إليها في الفقرة 70 من المقرر 1/م أ-16؛

Requests the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice to conduct an assessment, based on the work of, inter alia, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, of the implications of the choice of metrics used to calculate the carbon dioxide equivalence of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removals by sinks of the greenhouse gases listed in Annex A to the Kyoto Protocol for the third or subsequent commitment periods;

(l) [ " Force majeure " means, for the purposes of this decision, extraordinary events or circumstances, defined as those events or circumstances whose occurrence or severity was beyond the control of, and not materially influenced by, a Party [and whose associated total annual greenhouse gas emissions by sources and removals by sinks are a minimum of [X per cent][Y to 5 per cent] of the total national emissions included in the base year].
(ل) [ " القوة القاهرة " تعني، لأغراض هذا المقرر، أحداثاً أو ظروفاً غير عادية، وتعرَّف بأنها أحداث أو ظروف يخرج حدوثها أو شدتها عن سيطرة طرف من الأطراف، ولا يؤثر فيها هذا الطرف مادياً [ويبلغ مجموع انبعاثات غازات الدفيئة السنوية المرتبطة بها بحسب المصادر وعمليات إزالتها بواسطة البواليع حداً أدنى [قدره X في المائة] [يتراوح من 3 إلى 5 في المائة] من مجموع الانبعاثات الوطنية المندرجة في سنة الأساس].
