HKFWC was accepted to the Gender Awareness Information and Networking System (GAINS) as a Focal Point and member of the Research and Training Network in October 2001.
جرى قبول الاتحاد في نظام المعلومات والتواصل الشبكي للتوعية الجنسانية في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2001 بوصفه مركزا للتنسيق وعضوا في شبكة البحث والتدريب.

2. Acknowledges with appreciation that, despite severe limitations, and in compliance with the request of the General Assembly in resolution 54/140, the Institute translated the Gender Awareness Information and Networking System into Spanish and is in the process of initiating translation into other official languages of the United Nations;

4. Acknowledges and appreciates the support of those Governments and organizations that have contributed towards the revitalization efforts of the Institute and the preparation of the prototype of the Gender Awareness Information and Networking System;

The winning work was featured on INSTRAW's electronic card sent out on that day and was exhibited, along with a selection of other submissions, in the GAINS digital art gallery on the web site and at the session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
