Nigeria welcomed the General Assembly's decision to convene a high-level dialogue on international migration and development in 2006; it looked forward to the conclusions of the World Commission on International Migration; and it hoped that the forthcoming report would benefit from the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization.
وترحب نيجيريا بقرار الجمعية العامة إجراء حوار رفيع المستوى في عام 2006 بشأن الهجرة الدولية والتنمية، وتترقب باهتمام استنتاجات اللجنة العالمية المعنية بالهجرة الدولية، وتأمل أن يستفيد التقرير القادم من تقرير اللجنة العالمية المعنية بالبُعد الاجتماعي للعولمة.

In its report, the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization had also underscored the need for globalization to be inclusive, equitable and focused on the well-being of people and launched an appeal for global solidarity and cooperation aimed at ensuring that markets were productive, equitable, based on fair rules and geared to enabling the underprivileged to actually benefit from globalization and deal with its challenges.

16. The Bureau also took note of the request to bring to the attention of the Commission at its thirty-eighth session the report of the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization entitled A Fair Globalization: Creating Opportunities for All.2

Three years had now passed since the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization had issued its report entitled " A fair globalization: creating opportunities for all " .

Mr. Krasnov (Republic of Belarus) concurred wholeheartedly on the need to give the globalization process a more social orientation; and he welcomed the report of the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization entitled A Fair Globalization: Creating Opportunities for All, prepared under the auspices of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
