11. As indicated by the relevant provisions of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), the Commonwealth of The Bahamas submits this National Report for the United Nations Human Rights Council to augment existing reports which were submitted in relation to other human rights instruments and Committees.

The concluding observations of CRC on the country reports on the implementation of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict as well as on those submitted in relation to the Convention itself and addressing the issue of children and armed conflict will constitute a basis for continued advocacy by the Office of the Special Representative.
