The Preparatory Committee may wish to use as the rules of procedure for the Preparatory Committee, to the extent possible, the rules of procedure of the functional commissions of the Economic and Social Council, taking into account decisions of the Commission on Human Rights on organizational matters, notably the decision referred to in paragraph 2 above.

4. The provision of additional resources called for in the draft decision referred to in paragraph 1 above, would allow the Committee to consider a greater number of reports.
4- من شأن اعتماد الموارد الإضافية المطلوبة في مشروع المقرر المشار إليه في الفقرة 1 أعلاه أن تتيح للجنة النظر في عدد أكبر من التقارير.

5. Requests the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, following the consideration of experiences gained in using the tables referred to in paragraph 2 above, to update those tables and to include them in the annex to the decision referred to in paragraph 1 above;

Decides that, for the purposes of this decision, the Conference of the Parties shall assume the responsibilities of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol as set out in the annex below on modalities and procedures, until the decision referred to in paragraph 15 is adopted by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol;

30. In response to the decision referred to in paragraph 17 above, five countries from the region have jointly undertaken to identify a unified methodology to develop a group of selected biophysical and socioeconomic indicators.

The SBSTA requested the secretariat, in implementing the decision referred to in paragraph above, subject to the availability of supplementary funding, to develop a module to the CRF Reporter software for the tables for reporting activities under Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4.
