2. The Committee expresses its appreciation to the State party for its fourth periodic report, which followed the Committee's former guidelines for the preparation of reports and took into account the Committee's previous concluding observations.

While noting the State party's information on the involvement of civil society in the elaboration of national policies regarding children's rights, the Committee is nevertheless concerned that civil society organizations have not been involved in the follow-up to the Committee's previous concluding observations or afforded adequate opportunities to present their views during the preparation of the State party's second periodic report.
