3. Recalls that article 24 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child expressly calls on States parties to take all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children;
٣- تذكّر بأن المادة ٤٢ من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل تدعو صراحة الدول اﻷطراف إلى اتخاذ جميع التدابير الفعالة والملائمة بغية إلغاء الممارسات التقليدية التي تضر بصحة اﻷطفال؛

28. Under article 24 (3) of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, States parties are required to take all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children.
28- وتنص المادة 24-3 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل على ضرورة أن تتخذ الدول الأطراف جميع التدابير الفعالة والملائمة بغية إلغاء الممارسات التقليدية التي تضر بصحة الأطفال.

32. The Convention on the Rights of the Child, on the other hand, obliges States parties to take all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children (art. 24 (3)).
32 - وفي الجانب الآخر، اتفاقية حقوق الطفل تُلزم الدول الأطراف بأن تـتـخـذ جميع التدابير الفعالة والملائمة بغية إلغاء الممارسات التقليدية التي تضر بصحة الأطفال (المادة ٢٤ (٣)).

However, it also obliges States Parties to take " all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children " (art. 24, para. 3).

٧٩- يُرجى تقديم معلومات بشأن التدابير المعتمدة عملاً بالفقرة ٣ من المادة ٤٢ بغية إلغاء كافة الممارسات التقليدية التي تضر بصحة اﻷطفال ولا سيما الفتيات، أو التي تتعارض على نحو آخر مع مبادئ وأحكام الاتفاقية )مثل تشويه اﻷعضاء التناسلية واﻹكراه على الزواج(.

The Committee on the Rights of the Child has also noted that a number of the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child should be considered applicable to the issue of child marriage, including article 24, paragraph 3, which provides that States parties should " take all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children. "
10- وأشارت لجنة حقوق الطفل أيضاً إلى أنه ينبغي اعتبار عدد من أحكام اتفاقية حقوق الطفل أحكاماً تنطبق على مسألة تزويج الأطفال، بما في ذلك الفقرة 3 من المادة 24، التي تنص على أنه ينبغي للدول الأطراف أن " تتخذ جميع التدابير الفعالة والملائمة بغية إلغاء الممارسات التقليدية التي تضر بصحة الأطفال " ().

Also to be considered, the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Convention on the Right of the Child in its article 24, paragraph 3, which calls " States Parties to take all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children " .
وتجدر الإشارة أيضا إلى اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة، واتفاقية حقوق الطفل، الفقرة 3 من المادة 24 التي تدعو " الدول الأطراف إلى اتخاذ جميع التدابير الفعالة والملائمة بغية إلغاء الممارسات التقليدية التي تضر بصحة الطفل " .

98. 16. States parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child34 are obliged to “take all effective and appropriate measures with a view to abolishing traditional practices prejudicial to the health of children”,35 and to protect children from injury, violence, abuse and maltreatment.
