The Alliance was reassured by the resounding commitment to multilateralism and the Charter of the United Nations expressed during the general debate at the present session of the General Assembly. Multilateralism was essential to inclusiveness and participation in global decision-making and underpinned the concept of collective security.
74 - وقال إن التحالف يشعر بالاطمئنان إزاء إعادة الالتزام بالتعددية وبميثاق الأمم المتحدة على نحو ما جرى التعبير عنه خلال المناقشة العامة في هذه الدورة الحالية للجمعية العامة، مؤكداً على أن التعددية أمر لا غنى عنه من أجل الاستيعاب والمشاركة في عمليات صُنع القرار، ومشدداً على أهمية مفهوم الأمن الجماعي.

وختاما، اسمحوا لي أن أقول بأن المناقشة العامة في هذه الدورة تشهد على صدق اهتمـام الــدول اﻷعضــاء بالتوصل إلى التحقيق الكامل ﻹمكانات اﻷمم المتحدة، باعتبارها منظمة دولية فعالة حقا، ومركزا لتحقيــق الانسجام والتنسيق بين أنشطة دول العالم.

In his speech during the general debate at this session of the General Assembly, President Hu Jintao of China called on the international community to join hands in the march forward, uphold the ideals of peace, development, cooperation, win-win progress and tolerance and work towards a harmonious world of enduring peace and common prosperity.
