It was a joint initiative of the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy, the Centre for International Crime Prevention of the United Nations Secretariat, the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations, and the Latin American Institute for Crime Prevention and the Treatment of Offenders.

12. Reference was made to the Workshop on Domestic Violence Issues in Central and Eastern Europe, held at Budapest in April 1994. The workshop had been organized by the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Hungary.
٢١ ـ وأشير الى حلقة العمل المعنية بالعنف المنزلي في أوروبا الوسطى والشرقية، التي عقدت في بودابست في نيسان/أبريل ٤٩٩١، ونظمها المعهد اﻷوروبي لمنع الجريمة ومكافحتها، المنتسب الى اﻷمم المتحدة، بالتعاون مع وزارة العدل الهنغارية.

Mention was made of the activities of the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations (formerly called the Helsinki Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations), particularly its activities relating to rendering assistance to countries in transition, bringing about reform and modernization of criminal justice operations.

Finally, the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations (HEUNI), is publishing the European and North American Analysis of the Results of the Fifth United Nations Survey of Crime Trends and Operations of Criminal Justice Systems (1990-1994).

The European Institute on Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations, the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and the secretariat of the Wassenaar Arrangement of Export Controls for Conventional Arms and Dual-Use Goods and Technologies were also represented.

15. Brazil and Mexico had been selected as the host countries for the regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education (affiliated to the United Nations) for the Latin America and the Caribbean region.
٥١ - اختيرت البرازيل والمكسيك بلدين مضيفين للمركز الاقليمي )المنتسب الى اﻷمم المتحدة( لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لمنطقة أمريكا اللاتينية والبحر الكاريبي .

It also contains information on the viability and usefulness of expanding globally a centralized clearing house database for international training and technical assistance projects in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, such as the one piloted for central and eastern Europe by the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated to the United Nations.
كما يشتمل على المعلومات بشأن صلاحية وفائدة التوسع على نطاق عالمي في قاعدة بيانات مرفق مركزي لتبادل المعلومات بشأن المشاريع الدولية الخاصة بالتدريب والمساعدة التقنية في ميدان منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، مثل المشروع التجريـبي لأوروبا الوسطى والشرقية الذي يضطلع به المعهد الأوروبي لمنع الجريمة ومكافحتها، المنتسب الى الأمم المتحدة.

33. In 1994, under the auspices of the United Nations, an evaluation mission to China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and Thailand was conducted with respect to the establishment of the regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (affiliated to the United Nations).
٣٣ - في عام ٤٩٩١ اضطلع برعاية اﻷمم المحدة ببعثة تقييم الى الصين و الهند واندونيسيا وماليزيا وباكستان وتايلند فيما يتعلق بانشاء المركز الاقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ )المنتسب الى اﻷمم المتحدة( .

35. In 1993, under the auspices of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, an evaluation mission to Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Zimbabwe was conducted with respect to the establishment of the regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Africa (affiliated to the United Nations).
٥٣ - في عام ٣٥٩١ اضطلع برعاية برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية ببعثة تقييمية الى زمبابوي والسنغال وغانا وكينيا والمغرب ونيجيريا فيما يتعلق بانشاء المركز الاقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في افريقيا )المنتسب الى اﻷمم المتحدة( .

39. In 1993, under the auspices of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, an evaluation mission to Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico was conducted with respect to the establishment of the regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (affiliated to the United Nations).
٩٣ - في عام ٣٩٩١ سيضطلع ، برعاية برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية ، ببعثة تقييمية الى اﻷرجنتين والبرازيل وشيلي والمكسيك ، فيما يتعلق بانشاء المركز الاقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في أمريكا اللاتينية والبحر الكاريبي )المنتسب الى اﻷمم المتحدة( .

42. An evaluation mission to Jordan and the Syrian Arab Republic was scheduled to take place in the second quarter of 1998 with a view to assessing the prospective countries, after which one of them will be selected to host the regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Western Asia (affiliated to the United Nations).
٢٤ - من المقرر ايفاد بعثة تقييمية الى اﻷردن والى الجمهورية العربية السورية في الربع الثاني من عام ٨٩٩١ بهدف تقييم هذين البلدين فيما يتعلق باستضافة المركز الاقليمي لتدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في غرب آسيا )المنتسب الى اﻷمم المتحدة( ، وبعد ذلك سيختار أحدهما لاستضافة المركز .
