وتمخّض المؤتمر عن اعتماد برنامج عمل العقد لصالح أقل البلدان نمواً 2011-2020 (برنامج عمل اسطنبول لصالح أقل البلدان نموا) المرتكز إلى النتائج، والذي يتمّ في إطاره السعي إلى تحقيق هدف طموح يتمثل في تمكين نصف العدد الكلّي للبلدان المندرجة في فئة أقل البلدان نموا من استيفاء معايير الخروج من هذه الفئة بحلول عام 2020.
