Appreciating the partnerships and cooperation between the United Nations and regional and subregional organizations in the field of mediation and the efforts of the Secretary-General to work together with regional and subregional organizations to strengthen their mediation support capacities, upon request and in accordance with agreed mandates,
وإذ تعرب عن ارتياحها للشراكات والتعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية في مجال الوساطة، وللجهود التي يبذلها الأمين العام من أجل العمل مع المنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية على تعزيز قدراتها في مجال دعم الوساطة، بناء على طلبها ووفقا للولايات المتفق عليها،

وإذ تعرب عن تقديرها للشراكات والتعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية في مجال الوساطة وللجهود التي يبذلها الأمين العام من أجل العمل مع المنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية على تعزيز قدراتها في مجال دعم الوساطة، بناء على طلبها ووفقا للولايات المتفق عليها،

3. Further encourages regional and subregional organizations to strengthen and increase cooperation among them, including efforts to enhance their respective capacities, in the maintenance of international peace and security;

3. Encourages regional and subregional organizations to strengthen and increase cooperation among them, including efforts to enhance their respective capacities, in the maintenance of international peace and security;

Subsequently, in resolution 1809 (2008), adopted in the framework of a discussion focusing on Africa and the relationship with the African Union, the Security Council encouraged regional and subregional organizations to strengthen and increase cooperation among them, including efforts to enhance their respective capacities in the maintenance of international peace and security.
وفي وقت لاحق، شجع مجلس الأمن، في القرار 1809 (2008) المتخذ في إطار مناقشة ركزت على أفريقيا والعلاقة مع الاتحاد الأفريقي، المنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية على تعزيز وزيادة التعاون فيما بينها، بما في ذلك الجهود المبذولة للنهوض بقدرات كل منها، في مجال صون السلام والأمن الدوليين.
