IV. Workshop on best practices on cooperation between public international organizations and States parties

Pursuant to resolution 2/5 of the Conference of the States Parties, an open-ended workshop on international cooperation between public international organizations and States parties was held in Vienna on 28 and 29 January 2009.
15- عملا بقرار مؤتمر الدول الأطراف 2/5، عُقدت في فيينا يومي 28 و29 كانون الثاني/ يناير 2009 حلقة عمل مفتوحة حول التعاون الدولي بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف.

An open-ended workshop held in January 2009 focused on the issue of methodologies of cooperation between public international organizations and States parties in investigations of corruption involving international public officials.
وركّزت حلقة عمل مفتوحة العضوية عُقدت في كانون الثاني/يناير 2009 على مسألة منهجيات التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف على التحقيق في الفساد المقترن بالموظفين العموميين الدوليين.

In its resolution 2/5, the Conference of the States Parties invited the Secretariat to continue the dialogue it had initiated and recommended that an open-ended workshop of practitioners and experts should be held before the end of 2008 in order to facilitate the exchange of best practices and address technical issues such as cooperation between public international organizations and States parties.
17- ودعا مؤتمر الدول الأطراف، في قراره 2/5، الأمانة إلى أن تواصل الحوار الذي كانت قد بدأته، وأوصى بأن تُنظَّم قبل نهاية عام 2008 حلقة عمل مفتوحة للممارسين والخبراء من أجل تيسير تبادل أحسن الممارسات ومعالجة مسائل تقنية مثل التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف.

A representative of the Secretariat recalled the expert consultations held on 27 September 2007 and at the second session of the Conference of the States Parties, in which States parties had expressed their interest in focusing further discussions on the issue of cooperation between public international organizations and States parties, with a view to exchanging experiences and identifying lessons learned.
وأشار أحد ممثلي الأمانة إلى مشاورات الخبراء التي عقدت في 27 أيلول/سبتمبر 2007 وأثناء الدورة الثانية لمؤتمر الدول الأطراف والتي أعربت الدول الأطراف فيها عن اهتمامها بمواصلة التركيز على مسألة التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف بهدف تبادل الخبرات واستخلاص الدروس.

In its resolution 2/5, the Conference requested UNODC to continue the open-ended dialogue with a focus on improving methodologies of cooperation between public international organizations and States parties in ongoing investigations and to hold a workshop on this issue.
وطلب المؤتمر في قراره 2/5 إلى المكتب المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة مواصلة الحوار المفتوح، مع التركيز على تحسين منهجيات التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف في التحقيقات الجارية، وعقد حلقة عمل عن هذا الموضوع.

Further to Conference of the States Parties resolutions 1/7 and 2/5, an open-ended workshop was held in January 2009 on cooperation between public international organizations and States parties in investigations of corruption involving international public officials.
30- وعملا بقراري مؤتمر الدول الأطراف 1/7 و2/5، عُقدت في كانون الثاني/يناير 2009 حلقة عمل مفتوحة العضوية حول التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف في التحريات عن الفساد الذي يتورط فيه الموظفون العموميون الدوليون.

The main purpose of the workshop would be to exchange best practices and to address the technical issues highlighted in the note by the Secretariat on the implementation of Conference resolution 1/7 (CAC/COSP/2008/7), in particular cooperation between public international organizations and States parties, and exchange of information on ongoing investigations and jurisdiction.
والهدف الرئيسي من حلقة العمل هو تبادل أفضل الممارسات ومعالجة المسائل التقنية المشار إليها في مذكّرة الأمانة عن تنفيذ قرار المؤتمر 1/7 (CAC/COSP/2008/7)، وخاصة التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف وتبادل المعلومات عن التحقيقات الجارية والولاية القضائية.

It brought together practitioners and experts from over 40 States and a number of international organizations, including the Office of Internal Oversight Services and the Office of Legal Affairs of the Secretariat, to exchange best practices and address technical issues involved in the cooperation between public international organizations and States parties in cases of bribery of officials of public international organizations.
وشارك في حلقة العمل ممارسون وخبراء من أكثر من 40 دولة وعدد من المنظمات الدولية كان من بينها مكتب خدمات الرقابة الداخلية ومكتب الشؤون القانونية بالأمانة العامة، لتبادل أفضل الممارسات ومعالجة مسائل تقنية ترتبط بالتعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف في حالات رشو موظفي المنظمات الدولية العمومية.

An open-ended workshop of practitioners and experts on international cooperation between public international organizations and States parties was held on 28 and 29 January 2009, facilitated by UNODC, to discuss experiences and identify good practices for cooperation between public international organizations and States parties in the investigation of cases involving the bribery of officials of public international organizations.
20- عُقدت يومي 28 و29 كانون الثاني/يناير 2009 حلقة عمل كان باب المشاركة فيها مفتوحاً للممارسين والخبراء بشأن التعاون الدولي بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف، يسرها مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة بهدف مناقشة الخبرات وتحديد الممارسات الجيدة من أجل التعاون بين المنظمات الدولية العمومية والدول الأطراف في التحقيق في القضايا المتعلقة برشو موظفي المنظمات الدولية العمومية.
