7- طلبت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 68/185، إلى الأمين العام أن يشرع في تنظيم الاجتماعات التحضيرية الإقليمية الأربعة للمؤتمر الثالث عشر وأن يوفِّر الموارد اللازمة لمشاركة أقل البلدان نموًّا في تلك الاجتماعات، وفقاً للممارسة المتبعة سابقاً.

Noting with concern the lack of resources for the participation of representatives of the least developed countries in the meetings leading up to and including the special session of the General Assembly, as well as the lack of sufficient funds for the full operations of the secretariat for the special session,
وإذ تلاحظ مع القلق قصور الموارد اللازمة لمشاركة ممثلي أقل البلدان نموا في الاجتماعات المفضية إلى الدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة وفي الدورة ذاتها، إضافة إلى الافتقار إلى الموارد الكافية لأداء أمانة الدورة الاستثنائية عملها على الوجه الأكمل،
