5- تحثّ المجتمع الدولي على تخصيص جزء من الموارد المتاحة نتيجة لتنفيذ الاتفاقات المتعلقة بنزع السلاح والحد من الأسلحة للتنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بهدف تضييق الفجوة المتزايدة الاتساع بين البلدان المتقدمة والبلدان النامية؛

2. In paragraph 6 of the resolution, the General Assembly reiterated its invitation to Member States to provide the Secretary-General with information regarding measures and efforts to devote part of the resources made available by the implementation of disarmament and arms limitation agreements to economic and social development.
2 - وفي الفقرة 6 من القرار، كررت الجمعية العامة دعوة الدول الأعضاء إلى أن تقدم إلى الأمين العام معلومات عن ما تتخذه من تدابير وما تبذله من جهود كي تكرس لصالح التنمية الاقتصادية جزءا من الموارد المتاحة نتيجة تنفيذ اتفاقات نزع السلاح والحد من التسلح.

Every year, in this regard, the General Assembly adopts by consensus a resolution on the relationship between disarmament and development, urging the international community to devote part of the resources made available by the implementation of disarmament and arms limitation agreements to economic and social development, with a view to reducing the ever-widening gap between developed and developing countries.
وبهذا الخصوص، في كل سنة تتخذ الجمعية العامة بتوافق الآراء قرارا بشأن الصلة بين نزع السلاح والتنمية، وتحث المجتمع الدولي على تكريس جزء من الموارد المتاحة نتيجة لتنفيذ برامج نزع السلاح واتفاقات الحد من الأسلحة لتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بغية تقليل الفجوة الآخذة في الاتساع بين البلدان المتقدمة النمو والبلدان النامية.
