45. Death is not the only result of attacks against journalists: those who return from conflict zones or dangerous assignments often suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and other negative psychological consequences, as well as permanent physical injuries.
45 - إن الموت لا يعتبر النتيجة الوحيدة للاعتداءات الموجهة ضد الصحفيين: فكثيرا ما يعاني العائدون من مناطق النزاع أو من مهام خطرة من اضطرابات نفسية لاحقة للإصابة وغير ذلك من الآثار النفسية السلبية، إلى جانب الإصابات البدنية الدائمة.

In a communication sent on 28 September 2000, the Special Rapporteur requested information concerning acts of intimidation and harassment against journalists of the independent daily Delo No. According to the information received, Viktor Zapolsky, Svetlana Krasilnikova and Vadim Nochevkin were detained and questioned on 16 August 2000, allegedly without access to a lawyer.
