The United Nations Charter recognizes in Article 1 that settlement of international disputes " by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principle of justice and international law " is one of the basic purposes of the United Nations.
ويقر ميثاق الأمم المتحدة في المادة 1 بأن تسوية النزاعات الدولية " بالوسائل السلمية وفقا لمبادئ العدل والقانون " من بين المقاصد الأساسية للأمم المتحدة.
