Her delegation agreed that military tribunals should be an integral part of the general justice system and operate in accordance with human rights standards and had sponsored resolution 19/31 of the Human Rights Council on the integrity of the judicial system which underscored the need for military courts and special tribunals to apply the due process procedures that were recognized in international law as guarantees of a fair trial.
