The seminar was also reminded that States parties had undertaken to adopt effective measures to promote understanding and tolerance to combat prejudices which lead to racial discrimination and to promote understanding and tolerance, pursuant to article 7 of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
وذكَّر الحلقة الدراسية أيضاً بأن الدول الأطراف قد تعهدت، عملاً بالمادة 7 من الاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري، باتخاذ تدابير فعالة لتعزيز التفاهم والتسامح بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري.

16. Article 7 of the Convention stresses the importance of adopting measures in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination.
16- وتؤكد المادة 7 من الاتفاقية على أهمية اعتماد تدابير في مجالات التعليم والتربية والثقافة والإعلام بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري.

37. The Kingdom's Constitution (the Koran and the Sunna) and the Basic Law contain provisions that guarantee measures to combat prejudices which lead to racial discrimination, as has already been clearly explained above.
37- يضمن دستور المملكة (القرآن والسنة) والنظام الأساسي للحكم ما يكفل مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري وفقاً لما تم توضيحه سلفاً.

It is probably for that reason that States are called upon to comply with the provisions of article 7 of the Convention which stipulates that “States parties undertake to adopt immediate and effective measures, particularly in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information, with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination ...”.
وهذا هو، بلا أي ريب، السبب الذي يجعل من واجب الدول تطبيق الأحكام المنصوص عليها في المادة 7 من الاتفاقية التي تنص على أن " تتعهد الدول الأطراف بأن تتخذ تدابير فورية وفعالة، لا سيما في ميادين التعليم والتربية والثقافة والاعلام، بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري (...) " .

31. Under article 7, States parties undertake to adopt immediate and effective measures, particularly in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information, with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination and to promoting understanding, tolerance and friendship among nations and racial or ethnic groups, as well as to propagating universal human rights principles, including those of the Convention.
31- وبموجب المادة 7، تتعهد الدول الأطراف بأن تتخذ تدابير فورية وفعالة، ولا سيما في ميادين التعليم والتربية والثقافة والإعلام، بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري وتعزيز التفاهم والتسامح والصداقة بين الأمم والجماعات العرقية أو الإثنية الأخرى، وكذلك لنشر المبادئ العالمية لحقوق الإنسان، بما فيها مبادئ الاتفاقية.

ICERD commits States parties " to undertake to adopt immediate and effective measures, particularly in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information, with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination and to promoting understanding, tolerance and friendship among nations and racial or ethnical groups. "
30- ويلزم العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية الدول الأطراف " بأن تتعهد باتخاذ تدابير فورية وفعالة، لا سيما في ميادين التعليم والتربية والثقافة والإعلام بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري وتعزيز التفاهم والتسامح والصداقة بين الأمم والجماعات العرقية أو الإثنية " ().

Article 7 of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination commits States parties to " adopt immediate and effective measures, particularly in the fields of teaching, education, culture and information, with a view to combating prejudices which lead to racial discrimination and to promoting understanding, tolerance and friendship among nations and racial or ethnical groups ... " .
وتلزم المادة 7 من الاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري الدول الأطراف بالتعهد بأن " تتخذ تدابير فورية وفعالة، لا سيما في ميادين التعليم والتربية والثقافة والإعلام، بغية مكافحة النعرات المؤدية إلى التمييز العنصري وتعزيز التفاهم والتسامح والصداقة بين الأمم والجماعات العرقية والإثنية الأخرى... " .
