The Expert Meeting on Efficient transport and trade facilitation to Improve Participation by Developing Countries in International Trade: Problems and Potential for the Application of Current Trade Facilitation Measures by Developing Countries was held at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, from 25 to 27 November 2002.

In accordance with the request of the Commission on Enterprise, Business Facilitation and Development at its sixth session, the Expert Meeting on Efficient transport and trade facilitation to Improve Participation by Developing Countries in International Trade: Problems and Potential for the Application of Current Trade Facilitation Measures by Developing Countries was held from 25 to 27 November 2002.
1- بناء على طلب لجنة المشاريع وتيسير الأعمال التجارية والتنمية في دورتها السادسة، عُقد في الفترة من 25 إلى 27 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2002، اجتماع الخبراء المعني بالكفاءة في النقل وتيسير التجارة بغية تحسين اشتراك البلدان النامية في التجارة الدولية: المشاكل والإمكانات القائمة فيما يتعلق بتطبيق التدابير الحالية لتيسير التجارة من جانب البلدان النامية.

In the field of efficient transport and trade facilitation to improve the participation of countries in international trade, the secretariat had continued its work on reviewing and monitoring developments through its Review of Maritime Transport 2004, its quarterly Transport Newsletter, various international, regional and national seminars, and publications on different issues of relevance for developing countries.
69- وفي ميدان تحقيق كفاءة النقل وتيسير التجارة بغية تحسين اشتراك البلدان النامية في التجارة الدولية، واصلت الأمانة عملها بشأن استعراض ورصد التطورات، وذلك عن طريق منشوريها: استعراض النقل البحري لعام 2004، ورسالة النقل الإخبارية Transport Newsletter، التي تصدر كل ثلاثة شهور، وعدة حلقات دراسية دولية وإقليمية وطنية شتى، والمنشورات المتعلقة بقضايا مختلفة ذات أهمية للبلدان النامية.
