Bulgaria has welcomed the close cooperation of South Africa with the IAEA that has led to transparency with regard to its past nuclear programme as well as its present nuclear activities.

63. Neither Iraqi declarations nor IAEA inspections have given rise to any new information of significance regarding the period covering Iraq's past nuclear programme (pre-1991) or the evolution of its nuclear-related capabilities between 1991 and 1998.
63 - لم تسفر بيانات العراق ولا عمليات التفتيش التي أجرتها الوكالة عن أي معلومات جديدة ذات أهمية تخص الفترة التي تشمل برنامج العراق النووي السابق ( قبل عام 1991) أو تطور قدراته ذات الصلة بالأنشطة النووية بين عامي 1991 و 1998.

(a) The part of the declaration that concerns Iraq's past nuclear programme (that is, the programme prior to 1991) contains no substantive differences from its earlier full, final and complete declaration and appears to be consistent with the IAEA's understanding of the Iraqi nuclear weapons programme (as reported to the Security Council in S/1997/779, S/1999/127 and S/2002/1150);
(أ) لا يحتوي ذلك الجزء من بيان العراق المتعلق بالبرنامج النووي السابق (أي البرنامج السابق على عام 1991) على اختلافات جوهرية عن بيانه الوافي النهائي الكامل السابق، ويبدو أنه يتسق مع فهم الوكالة الدولية لبرنامج الأسلحة النووية العراقي (حسبما أُبلغ إلى مجلس الأمن في الوثائق S/1997/779، و S/1999/127 و (S/2002/1150؛

2. For the first time, an IAEA team interviewed an Iraqi scientist who had worked in the former nuclear programme. He is now working as an academic at the University of Technology in Baghdad.
