Recalling also the statements issued in that regard by the Arab Ministerial Council on the Situation in Syria, the most recent of which was issued on 17 April 2012,

Accordingly, I respectfully suggest that you consider advising the Council to postpone taking a decision on the mandate of UNSMIS for a few days, until after the conclusion of the meeting of the Arab Ministerial committee.
وبناء على ذلك، أقترح بكل احترام أن تنظروا في توصية المجلس بإرجاء البت في ولاية البعثة لبضعة أيام إلى ما بعد اختتام اجتماع اللجنة الوزارية العربية.

2. To commission the Social and Economic Council to study the reports drafted by the Arab Ministerial councils, of whose technical secretariats the Secretariat-General shall assume the duties, and submit proposals thereon to the next session at summit level.
ثانياً: تكليف المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي بدراسة التقارير المعدة من قبل المجالس الوزارية العربية التي تقوم الأمانة العامة بمهام أماناتها الفنية وعرض مقترحاته بشأنها إلى الدورة القادمة للقمة العربية.

2. To call upon the concerned Arab Ministerial councils to implement the Charter of Ethics and Rules for Social Work in their respective areas of activity and competence.
دعوة المجالس الوزارية العربية المعنية، لتنفيذ ما ورد في ميثاق أخلاق وضوابط العمل الاجتماعي وفقاً لمجالات عملها واختصاصاتها.

5. To charge the Arab Ministerial committee on the peace initiative to maintain contacts with the Quartet and international parties concerned with the peace process to mobilize support for this initiative and issue a resolution of the United Nations Security Council or General Assembly to be adopted as a framework for the desired peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
تكليف اللجنة الوزارية العربية الخاصة بمبادرة السلام مواصلة الاتصالات مع اللجنة الرباعية والأطراف الدولية المعنية بعملية السلام من أجل حشد التأييد لهذه المبادرة، واستصدار قرار من مجلس الأمن أو الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة لتبنيها كإطار للحل السلمي المنشود للنزاع العربي الإسرائيلي.

On the basis of Arab Ministerial meetings and, likewise, Arab Summit meetings, it may be said that the programmes of the League of Arab States in support of Somali legitimacy involve the following:
- من خلال الاجتماعات الوزارية العربية وكذلك القمة العربية يمكن القول إن برنامج الجامعة العربية لدعم الشرعية الصومالية يتضمن ما يلي:

- To take the necessary steps, in accordance with the circumstances of each State, to accelerate completion of the greater Arab free trade zone and provide full support to the Arab Ministerial committee formed as a mechanism to follow up the implementation of Summit resolutions.
- اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة، حسب ظروف كل دولة، لتسريع إنجاز منطقة التجارة الحرة العربية الكبرى، وتوفير الدعم الكامل للجنة الوزارية العربية المشكّلة كآلية لمتابعة تطبيق قرارات القمة.

The leaders welcome the proposal of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria concerning the construction of an Arab earth observation satellite and its willingness to prepare the studies required for that purpose in coordination with the competent agencies in Arab States and the Arab Ministerial Councils concerned.
