In accordance with resolution 2007/24 and other relevant regional instruments, such as the Kampala Declaration on Prison Conditions in Africa, the Kadoma Declaration on Community Service, the Arusha Declaration on Good Prison Practice and the Lilongwe Declaration, UNODC has begun to be actively engaged in the issue of access to legal aid.
