1. At its twenty-second Ordinary Session, held in Addis Ababa from 21 to 25 January 2013, the Executive Council, as part of the consideration of the activity report of the Commission for the period from July 2012 to January 2013 [Doc. EX.CL/755(XXII)], discussed the situation in Western Sahara.

The twentieth Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union, held on 29 and 30 January 2013, while deliberating on the report of the Peace and Security Council on its activities and the state of peace and security in Africa [Assembly/AU/3(XX)], also exchanged views on the situation in Western Sahara.
