Preventing the use of illicit drugs within Member States and strengthening international cooperation on policies of drug abuse prevention (Commission resolution 53/2)
الوقاية من تناول المخدِّرات غير المشروعة في الدول الأعضاء وتعزيز التعاون الدولي بشأن سياسات الوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات (قرار اللجنة 53/2)

1. Invites Member States to consider expanding the coverage and quality of drug abuse prevention systems, interventions and policies based on scientific evidence, as described in the International Standards on Drug Use Prevention, paying particular attention to both individuals and groups at risk, as well as to the need for a scientific evidence-based monitoring and evaluation component;
1- تدعو الدولَ الأعضاءَ إلى النظر في توسيع نطاق تغطية نظم الوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات والتدخُّلات والسياسات القائمة على الأدلَّة العلمية، وتحسين نوعيتها، مثلما هو مبيَّن في المعايير الدولية للوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات، مع إيلاء اهتمام خاص للأفراد المعرَّضين للخطر والجماعات المعرَّضة للخطر على السواء، وكذلك للحاجة إلى شق خاص بالرصد والتقييم القائمين على الأدلَّة العلمية؛

(c) With regard to demand reduction and related health-protection measures, UNODC supported several countries in Africa in their efforts to increase the coverage and improve the quality of drug abuse prevention and treatment and of rehabilitation and care services for drug abusers, including in prisons, based on scientific evidence and ethical standards.
(ج) فيما يتعلق بخفض الطلب وتدابير حماية الصحة ذات الصلة، وفَّر المكتب الدعم إلى عدة بلدان في أفريقيا في جهودها الرامية إلى توسيع نطاق التغطية في خدمات الوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات والعلاج وإعادة التأهيل والرعاية الخاصة بمتعاطي المخدِّرات، ومن ضمنها الخدمات المقدَّمة في السجون، وتحسين نوعية تلك الخدمات، وذلك بالاستناد إلى الشواهد العلمية والمعايير الأخلاقية.

The Office also initiated the development of a guide on evaluating the effectiveness of Drug Use Prevention through a technical consultation in November 2014 (para. 6).
وشرع المكتب أيضا في وضع دليل لتقييم فعالية الوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات عن طريق التشاور التقني في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2014 (الفقرة 6).

UNODC continued to facilitate the planning of improved national drug prevention systems on the basis of the International Standards on Drug Use Prevention in an additional 40 countries and initiated the development of a guide on monitoring and evaluation of Drug Use Prevention through a technical consultation held in November 2014.

At headquarters, UNODC ensures that the perspective of the standards and norms is integrated in its other thematic programmes: prevention of drug abuse and health; organized crime and illicit trafficking; corruption and economic crime; and terrorism prevention.

In line with the Secretary-General's call to focus on prevention, efforts to prevent drug abuse were strengthened and crime prevention was mainstreamed into relevant aspects of UNODC programmes.
وتماشياً مع دعوة الأمين العام إلى التركيز على الوقاية، عُزِّزت الجهود الرامية إلى الوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات وأُدمج منع الجريمة في الجوانب ذات الصلة من برامج المكتب.

The Youth Initiative will mobilize youth worldwide to become active in preventing drug use in their schools and communities. UNODC
وتسعى المبادرة المعنية بالشباب إلى تعبئة الشباب على نطاق العالم من أجل العمل بنشاط في مجال الوقاية من تعاطي المخدِّرات في مدارسهم ومجتمعاتهم المحلية.

UNODC also supported the development of an agreement on continental minimum quality standards for drug abuse prevention and treatment and co-facilitated two expert meetings on drug abuse prevention and treatment.
