كما قرَّرت الجمعية العامة عقد الجزء الرفيع المستوى من المؤتمر الثالث عشر أثناء اليومين الأولين للمؤتمر ليتسنَّى لرؤساء الدول أو الحكومات والوزراء الحكوميين التركيز على الموضوع الرئيسي للمؤتمر وإبداء آراء مفيدة في هذا الشأن.

وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أنها قررت أيضا في قرارها 68/185 أن يعقد الجزء الرفيع المستوى من المؤتمر الثالث عشر أثناء اليومين الأولين للمؤتمر ليتسنى لرؤساء الدول أو الحكومات والوزراء التركيز على الموضوع الرئيسي للمؤتمر() وتعزيز إمكانية إبداء آراء مفيدة في هذا الشأن،
