At the present time, HelpAge is working with delegations of older people from at least 21 countries on the International Day of Older Persons. They will meet with their Governments and raise concerns and requests for implementation of the Madrid Plan of Action.

12. The Costa Rican Gerontological Association will organize a forum on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons and a National Week of Older Persons to prepare for the Year.
